Must have items to bring to hospital birth

1. Identifiable forms of identification: Bring your driver's license or ID card, insurance card, and any necessary registration documents.

2. Insurance information: Make sure to have your insurance card or necessary information to provide to the hospital staff.

3. Birth plan: If you have a birth plan, bring a copy to share with your healthcare provider.

4. Comfortable clothing: Pack loose, comfortable clothing to wear during and after labor. Bring a robe, socks, and a nursing bra if you plan to breastfeed.

5. Personal toiletries: Bring items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion for your own comfort.

6. Snacks and drinks: Pack some light snacks and beverages to stay nourished during labor.

7. Cell phone and charger: Have your cell phone and charger handy to keep in touch with loved ones or access important information.

8. Camera or video recorder: If you want to capture moments of your birth experience, bring a camera or video recorder.

9. Nursing pads and breast pads: These can be helpful to manage any leakage that may occur during breastfeeding.

10. Comfort items: Consider bringing items that bring you comfort, such as a favorite pillow, blanket, or music playlist.

11. Baby outfits and blankets: Pack a couple of outfits for your newborn, including onesies, sleepers, and hats. Also, bring receiving blankets or swaddling blankets.

12. Car seat: Have an installed car seat ready to transport your baby home safely.

13. Other items you may want to bring: portable fan, portable speaker, music playlist that is upbeat and a mello playlist, hair clips, hair ties, chapstick, essential oils, massage oil, comfy pillows and blankets, fake tea light candles, heating pad
